A Spiritual Warfare study on Thoughts

    In Gen 6:5, we see the words, the THOUGHTS OF HIS HEART.
    In Mt 15:19, we see the words, OUT OF THE HEART PROCEED...THOUGHTS. Our heart produces thoughts. The kind of thoughts we have depends on what kind of a heart we have. The kind of a heart we have also determines what voices we choose to believe and follow. As it is written, THE THOUGHTS OF HIS HEART WAS ONLY EVIL-Gen 6:5. OUT OF THE HEART PROCEED EVIL THOUGHTS-Mt 15:19. A person that has an evil heart will have many evil thoughts. His conversation and what he does will also be evil. Yet he may think of himself as a righteous person that does no wrong. As it is written, ALL THE WAYS OF A MAN ARE CLEAN IN HIS OWN EYES-Pv 16:2.
    Nevertheless, the consequences of wrong thinking is death. As it is written, THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMETH RIGHT UNTO A MAN, BUT THE END THEREOF ARE THE WAYS OF DEATH-Pv 16:25. The thoughts or ways of man seem right to himself, but his thoughts are wrong and will lead him to hell. These people walk in the ways of their own heart-ref Ecc 11:9.
    Each of us are filled with multitudes of thoughts. As it is written, THE MULTITUDE OF MY THOUGHTS-Ps 94:19.
    But the THOUGHTS OF THE RIGHTEOUS ARE RIGHT-Pv 12:5.
   Our attitude should be, I HATE VAIN THOUGHTS: BUT THY LAW DO I LOVE-Ps 119:113.
    We might ask, how can our thoughts be established? It is written, COMMIT THY WORKS UNTO THE LORD, AND THY THOUGHTS SHALL BE ESTABLISHED-Pv 16:3.

    Consider imaginations. It is written, ALL THE IMAGINATIONS OF THE THOUGHTS-1 Chr 28:9. We may get a thought and then from that thought have many imaginations of fearful situations or consequences. We may get a thought and then imagine horrible and evil things against God or others.
    What thoughts do you have? Are these your thoughts?
    It is written, GOD IS NOT IN ALL HIS THOUGHTS-Ps 10:4.
    THEIR THOUGHTS ARE AGAINST ME-Ps 56:5.
    THEIR THOUGHTS ARE THOUGHTS OF INIQUITY-Isa 59:7.
    THE THOUGHT OF FOOLISHNESS IS SIN-Pv 24:9.
    What are your thoughts like?
    What is THE FRUIT OF your THOUGHTS-Jere 6:19?
    Do you have evil thoughts?-ref Ja 2:4.
    Are your thoughts in accordance with God’s Word?
    Because, it is written, (He has) PERFORMED THE THOUGHTS OF HIS HEART-Jere 23:20.
    Jesus asked the question, WHY DO THOUGHTS ARISE IN YOUR HEARTS?-Lk 24:38.
    Which voice or what thoughts do you obey? Be on your guard against wrong voices and thoughts.
    The DISCIPLES said, "WE PERISH." Fear caused them to speak wrongly. Jesus said to them, "WHY ARE YE FEARFUL?"-Mt 8:26. They had wrong thoughts.
    Mary had wrong thoughts, when she said, THEY HAVE TAKEN AWAY MY LORD-ref Jn 20:11-13. She jumped to a wrong conclusion.
    A disciple said, LORD, SUFFER ME FIRST TO GO AND BURY MY FATHER-Mt 8:21. His thinking was wrong. JESUS SAID...FOLLOW ME; AND LET THE DEAD BURY THEIR DEAD-Mt 8:22.
    Two sons of Aaron offered strange fire before the Lord, which He commanded them not. God struck them dead-ref Lev 10:1-10. Their thinking was wrong. It cost them their life.
    Beware of wrong thoughts that could cause you to disobey God.
    Jesus said, THY SINS BE FORGIVEN. The scribes, then, had evil thoughts, and said, THIS MAN BLASPHEMETH. Jesus said, WHEREFORE THINK YE EVIL IN YOUR HEARTS?-Mt 9:2-4.
    Jesus cast out a devil. The Pharisees had evil thoughts, and said, HE CASTETH OUT DEVILS THROUGH THE PRINCE OF THE DEVILS-Mt 9:34. What voice do you hear and believe? What evil thoughts do you have that come from your heart?
    Will you have thoughts of worshiping the devil for riches?-ref Mt 4:8-10.
    It is written, THEY KNOW NOT THE THOUGHTS OF THE LORD-Mic 4:12.
    If a person does not read all the Bible, how can he begin to understand the thoughts of the Lord?
    Often we may have wrong thoughts and may say the wrong things. As it is written, MY THOUGHTS CAUSE ME TO ANSWER-Job 20:2. Beware of what you may say. Be slow to speak.
    We might ask ourselves, "So what should I do?"
    We should hate wrong thoughts of vanity and love God’s Word. As it is written, I HATE VAIN THOUGHTS: BUT THY LAW DO I LOVE-Ps 119:113.
    We should walk by faith, not by sight. We should trust the Lord to provide. As it is written, TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT YE SHALL EAT…or...WHAT YE SHALL PUT ON-Lk 12:22-26.
    We should serve God. Our works should be committed to Jesus. As it is written, COMMIT THY WORKS UNTO THE LORD, AND THY THOUGHTS SHALL BE ESTABLISHED-Pv 16:3.
    We should cast down wrong thinking. As it is written, CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS, AND EVERY HIGH THING THAT EXALTETH ITSELF AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, AND BRINGING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST (or to the obedience of the Word)-2 Cor 10:5.
    Again, we might ask, "What thoughts or voices are leading you?"
    God’s true, born-again children hear the voice of Jesus. They hear the voice of God’s Word. They follow Jesus. They follow God’s Word-ref Jn 10:27. They will not follow the devil’s voice. They will not follow wrong thinking, but they will flee from the voice that wants to lead them astray-ref Jn 10:5.

    They will not follow these wrong, deceitful, misleading voices, FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS-Jn 10:5.
    What thoughts do you have? What thoughts do you obey?
    Are your thoughts in line with the Bible or the world?
    Is your obedience in line with the Bible or the world?
    FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT; IF THERE BE ANY VIRTUE, AND IF THERE BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS. THOSE THINGS, WHICH YE HAVE BOTH LEARNED, AND RECEIVED, AND HEARD, AND SEEN IN ME, DO: AND THE GOD OF PEACE SHALL BE WITH YOU-Phili 4:8,9.

    HEART-Ps 24:4; 1 Pe 1:22
    MIND-2 Pe 3:1
    CONSCIENCE-1 Tim 3:9
    YIELD YOUR MEMBERS (body) SERVANTS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS-Ro 6:19.
